Hi there!

My name is Francesco, I’m 31 years old and I’m Italian.
I’ve been studying Arabic for 10 years now and I also have a Master’s Degree in Arabic Language and Linguistics.
Today I had the unfortunate idea of accepting a $1-dollar offer by ArabicPod101 and I soon began to realise why it was so cheap: while taking a look at one of their lessons, I grew absolutely disgusted by the way an article regarding an Egyptian leader named Khufu was both written and read out: absence of case declination, “jeem” that alternates with “geem” and so on and so forth… I just couldn’t bare any further and promptly deleted my account.

Therefore, I just don’t think that ArabicPod101 should be amongst the recommended sites for learning Arabic.

I would like to have some feedback from other users: how was your experience with ArabicPod101?

                           Thank you all,

Hey Francesco,
Wow, thanks for sharing your experience. :grinning:
This is an issue I’ve always raised concerning ArabicPod101 - the dialect mix-up can be quite disorientating. The resource has improved a lot over the years though from what it used to be though.
